Madhu Bangarappa wins Soraba constituency with huge majority
Former Chief Minister S. Bangarappa's son Madhu Bangarappa of Congress won the Soraba constituency in Shimoga district with a huge majority.
According to the latest data, Madhu Bangarappa got 51,091 votes while his brother Kumar Bangarappa of BJP got 28,125 votes.
Former Chief Minister S. Soraba in Shimoga district, where both Bangarappa's sons are opponents, is a constituency that attracts special attention every time in the Karnataka assembly elections. Former MLA Madhu Bangarappa contested for the Congress against incumbent MLA Kumar Bangarappa of BJP.
Son of Dr.Rajkumar, Shivraj Kumar's wife Geeta Shivraj Kumar and the. S. Bangarappa's daughters also joined the Congress and stood in support of Madhu Bangarappa.
